Earth Day Upcycling Event April 22, 2016
|
Ms. Driscoll’s third grade students learned how
"trash" can be reused in a new way instead of being discarded. They collected large cans, glass jars,
plastic jugs, and other recyclables to create their own classroom flower pot “treasures.”
The students then decided to share their wealth with the rest of the school and distributed one to each classroom. As they did this, they taught the other classes why it was important to reuse items before throwing things away. Each classroom personalized and displayed their new flower pots.
*This project is connected with the Protect: Air project.
